Jump off the ship to the refreshing water for a swim before returning to Hanoi for the day.
Following a morning flight to Hue, tour the Imperial Citadel of the prior funding where Nguyen Anh began his 143-year dynasty. A walled palace stays inside the Citadel. Have a morning tour of this ancient Champa sacred city of My Son, researching the destroyed Hindu Temples; the vast majority of this archaeological site was ruined by carpet bombing from the Vietnam War. Do some last-minute purchasing and revel in some local cuisine in Hoi An before taking the day train to Nha Trang.
This shore destination offers over gold sands. Welcome into the depths and learn more about the reefs using a snorkel or complete on dive kit. Pay a visit to the offshore islands and participate in all of the activities they provide or visit the Planet Aquarium at Vinpearl Land. Or you could just relax on this gold sand.
Have a morning bus to the mountain resort of Dalat and look to the historical Dalat Palace Hotel. Read the central marketplace which delivers all kinds of vegetables, grains, herbs and spices; then walk round the lake, taking from the colonial architecture.
On day two, see a number of those minority villages in the neighboring regions of Dalat for example Lanh Dinh An before returning to town to get a gondola ride farther up the mountain, soaring over pine woods for views around Dalat. Last, see some regional Buddhist temples.
Have a shopping spree together Dong Khoi, stopping to admire the Opera House, People’s Committee Building, Post Office and Notre Dame Cathedral all Built-in the French Colonial design.
On day two, soak up some history in the Reunification Palace; office and home of the President of South Vietnam through the Vietnam War. Stop by the War Remnants Museum, which shows objects out of the Vietnam and Indochina Wars and enjoy afternoon tea in the Continental Hotel.
Have a tour of the Cu Chi war tunnels, a little section of a huge network underlying the vast majority of the nation. They have been used at the Vietnam War as hiding places, hospitals and offices amongst other things. Drive farther west to Cao Dai Temple to watch Vietnam’s flamboyant native god. Return to Ho Chi Minh City to get a night bus to Mekong Delta.
Spend a day at Vinh Long visiting floating markets, island villages and orchards. Make sure you sample the exotic produce and fresh fish. Have a nighttime bus back to Ho Chi Minh City.
