Top 7 Hacks for Hassle-free Air Travel

All of us want a trouble-free odyssey whenever we are traveling. But then again, life can be quite unpredictable.

So many unforeseen events can make the journey not-so-pleasant at first. This may include delayed flights, security checks, the cluttered mess in your bag, lost boarding pass, restricted backspace, and of course, snoring or chatty co-passengers–there is so much that could go wrong!

Thankfully, at the same time, there are a few hacks that you can use to make sure that your air travel remains hassle-free and fun keeping you recharged to actually enjoy your trip ahead. Read on as we have compiled the different ways in which you can remain comfortable, cozy and fresh whenever you travel via a flight.

Not forgetting the comfortable shoes

While wearing heels or the latest elaborate pair of stilettos may look tempting and leave you feeling like a diva, it’s important to be comfortable whenever you are in the airport security. After all, you can never be completely sure when you might just have to run for that boarding time! Even for men, it’s important to have running shoes that aren’t too tight.

Try to avoid wearing footwear that involves a lot of straps, buckles, or laces. Another tip that we would like to give you is to take off your watch, belt, and jacket to get through checking as quickly as possible.

Making sure that you have those oh-so-comfy travel essentials

Unless you have the luxury of traveling in business class or first class, you can never really be sure of what your flight journey may entail. This is precisely why you should always have a couple of travel essentials that includes a neck pillow, a sleep mask, and noise-canceling earplugs or headphones.

If you feel like catching a quick nap, you can easily cover your ears and eyes helping you doze off faster to Snooze Land. A neck pillow is important as it provides support to your neck and shoulders helping you avoid any situations where they might be excessive strain on your upper half of the body. As you might have realized, this way, your entire journey will be smooth and comfortable.

Install travel apps that are free yet handy

One of the biggest inventions of technology is the existence of travel apps. Trust us when we tell you that these travel apps can make your entire journey as quick and fuss-free as possible whilst being completely free of cost.

You can plan your entire travel itinerary, find out the things that you should do in your destination, locate the best and cheapest flight and hotel deals, and so on.

Make sure you have a transport pick-up booked in advance

Having somebody there to take you to your hotel or home is a great way to keep extra stress away.

You can save a lot of time by pre-booking your transportation pick up ahead of time. The best part is that there are choices for this too. You can go for either a car service or, if you want to save money, you can opt for public transportation options as well.

Find out your course of action during delayed flight travel

There might be some unlucky days where your flight gets canceled and you may think that there is nothing that you can do about it, but knowing your rights can take you a long way in such situations.

Check with the airline reservation service if there are any other alternative flights that you can get on and if not, make sure that you are doing everything to get help. Don’t, under any circumstances, get in the queue and just hope for the best. Getting insured is also a guarantee of having the required assistance to solve such situations in an easier manner.

Swap your traditional boarding passes for E-boarding passes

This is one hack that has only recently been discovered by people across the globe even though this isn’t a new concept. Not only can it help to save a lot of time, but you also so are under less pressure when it comes to boarding.

After opting for fast online check-in, you can get the print out your boarding pass or you can also go paperless and instead download it on your mobile phone. Whichever option you opt for, make sure that the barcode is visible because that is important to get you entry.

In addition to your boarding pass, do not forget to carry at least one photo ID for domestic travel and, of course, your passport whenever you are traveling internationally. We would also suggest that you keep your forms of identification and your boarding pass in your purse or at a place that is easily accessible during a security checkpoint.

Plan your schedule in a way that you arrive at the airport before boarding starts. In case you are going to a domestic destination, arriving 60 minutes before boarding time will keep you safe from missing your flight. However, in the case of international flights, you should always find out the exact boarding time. Generally, arriving 90 minutes before the scheduled time is good enough.

Don’t forget your polite matters

This particular hack is going to be useful for not only your flight journey but in all spheres of your life.

Always be polite and courteous to the airport staff as well as your co-passengers. Etiquette is very important, and in terms of travel destinations, rules of etiquette vary. For example, in Dubai, holding hands and public kissing is illegal while in Thailand, saying anything demeaning about the royal family can land you in a lot of legal trouble.

Hence, find out the customs and traditions of the destination that you are about to visit to make sure that you stay safe.

  1. It Is Easier to Explore New Areas

Guided tours are great, but there are also areas of the city that a lot of tourists don’t know about, but you can easily discover those areas if you’re driving a car during your stay there. You can take off in any direction and discover something you didn’t know existed, and you can do this as many times as you like. This is very difficult to do when you’re relying on a cab or bus to take you where you want to go, but it is much easier to do when you’ve rented a car for this adventure.

It Is a Cost-Effective Way to Travel

  1. They Are Perfect for Both Personal and Business Travel

Finally, leasing a vehicle is perfect whether you’re in Chiang Mai for a vacation or a business meeting. Choosing between ETA and e-Visitor for Australia

Until recently, travelers wishing to go to Australia had to make heavy visa applications beforehand. Of course, that took a lot of time and was quite complicated. But currently, ETA or eVisitor are mandatory electronic visas that visitors can obtain under certain conditions. Getting one of themallowsthem to organize a trip more easily. With a 100% online procedure, a faster and more reliable response, those two types of visa are simpler to obtain. So which one to choose? This article will certainly help you make the right decision.

Focus on the Electronic Travel Authority or ETA Australia

This type of visa is reserved for nationals of certain countries like the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, Italy, France and other more. It greatly facilitates the obligatory administrative procedures. You can obtain thisvisa for Australiavia a simple online application, by filling a simple form in which you will have to answer a number of questions. You will also be asked to enter your passport number and personal data like your email address and credit card. You will receive the answer by email in a few hoursordays.

The ETA Australia is for tourists and visitors with professional purposes. It can be a business or a study trip. It permits them to travel in Australia as many time as they like for the next 12 months. But each stay should not be longer than 3 months. You will not have to go out of your house to apply for this visa. As far as the ETA australia price is concerned, every applicant has to pay € 49 for their application to be validated.

What is eVisitor Visa for Australia?

The eVisitor visa closely resembles the previous option with an online application put in place by the Australian government. It is much older than the ETA visa but generally works the same way. It is also valid for one year for stays of less than 3 months with a purpose about tourism, business or studies and internships. It cannot be used for work either.

Note that even if the Australian ETA visa and the eVisitor have several similarities, the first one has advantages over the second alternative. For instance, the response time of the application is shorter and the procedures to be carried out online are way simpler. We recommend you to opt for an ETA visa for your next trip in Australia.

Why You Need to See Chile at 2018

A sliver of a nation that somehow manages to encircle bare desert, knife-edge hills and fertile river valleys, Chile has attracted intrepid travellers. And for 2018 that the nation is carrying things up a notch.

Adding to the enduring allure of its internationally acclaimed wineries, beautifully clean night sky and adventure-ready landscapes, this season brings festivals, a burgeoning culinary landscape as well as the opportunity to learn more about the new Trail of Parks.

As one of our best travel destinations for your year, here is why Chile ought to be securely on your trip bucket listing.

1. Its funds has a buzzing cultural and culinary scene

For many years Santiago has been seen by many travelers as only a place for airport connections. Now, the town has bloomed into one of the continent’s most contemporary and lively capitals.

Awakening from a slumber, Santiago’s dining landscape is demonstrating the meals alone respects stopping , with modern Chilean dining spearheaded by Boragó, the fifth greatest restaurant in South America. Stylish sangucherías (old-school sandwich stores ), for example Capicuá at the Providencia neighbourhood, are also leading the pack at rebooting Chile’s most disgusting cuisine: anticipate king crab or goat meat sandwiches which draw culinary traditions from throughout the nation.

2018 can also be place to establish that the city’s ethnic qualifications, together with the 25th anniversary of Santiago a Mil, a festival of theater and dance which will run till January 21. This festival will bring together acts from throughout the world performing in areas and in the roads, touching upon topics which range from the youth of famous Chilean composer, Violeta Parra, to existence in refugee camps around the globe.

2. Now there’s even more wilderness to research

Patagonia and its own magnificent wind-scarred lands are held in veneration by several hikers — and for good reason. 2018 is when the attention will change in the glacier and granite-riddled Parque Nacional Torres del Paine into the recently established Path of Parks, a series of national parks which runs from Tierra del Fuego from the south to the suggestion of this Carretera Austral from the north.

This year be sure to visit Reserva Nacional Cerro Castillo, where multiday trails thread through wild forests and snow-crowned hills — you can expect to see few, if some additional tourists . Also don’t overlook the 10,000-year-old cave paintings in the Paredón de las Manos.

3. You can sample elite tipples

Argentina has been crowned South America’s greatest wine producing nation, but around the Andes, its own neighbor has spent the last couple of decades quietly pocketing prestigious awards. What is more, many of the top manufacturers are almost within spitting distance of Santiago.

1 winery to not overlook is award-winning Casa Marin, whose trendy shore whites grow only four kilometers from the sea in the San Antonio Valley. Like a lot of Chile’s manufacturers, they have gone past the traditional tour and possess an onsite wine bar where they have paired their very best wines with gourmet Chilean food.

To see, rent a cab for the day from Santiago or move the complete, lavish hog using a tour using Liz Caskey, a sommelier who will get you to the most exclusive wineries — most of which are not available to the general public.

4. It is home to the clearest night sky in the world Related attributes

As a result of a fortuitous combination of high elevation, aridity and reduced light pollution, Chile’s Atacama Desert has two-hundred cloudless nights per year and leading requirements for stargazing.

San Pedro de Atacama is a favorite starting point, together with bureaus hauling you out to the desert to get an astronomy tour and crash course at the southern heavens, where strong telescopes magnify even the faintest glint of light.

If that is not enough to satiate your desire at nighttime skies, hire a campervan with Soulvans to venture out miles from civilisation and sleep under the stars. You could even ogle advanced engineering at ALMA Observatory, the biggest, strongest astronomical job in life.

5. Since South America’s top adventure destination won’t disappoint

Awarded in 2017 the accolade of this world’s top adventure tourism destination for its second year running, Chile seems set to keep on offering once-in-a-lifetime travel adventures. Among the greatest joys is the ascent of one of Chile’s 3000 or so volcanoes — most of which remain busy.

Volcán Villarrica close Pucón is easily the hottest, using a lava-filled crater and slopes thick with snow. To take things up a notch (nicely, 300m to be exact ), ditch the audiences and pitch a tent on the deserted summit of Volcán Llaima, Chile’s most active stratovolcano, where scenic views span landscapes of lava flows and historical, umbrella-shaped araucaría trees at Parque Nacional Conguillío.

To escape further, fly into miniature Easter Island — among the most remote locations on Earth — at which solemn stone maoi lineup its scenic coasts and also have been found on the seabed at Las Áncoras reef. Take to the waters that are crystalline using a scuba-diving tour to get a glimpse of those figurines, and to catch snatches of song from migrating blue and humpback whales.

8 Must-have Items you Should take on a Short Vacation

Honestly, it is far too easy to overpack when you are going for a holiday. Especially a short one. This is why it is so important to have a checklist that you can refer back to when you are packing for your vacation.

Bring only what you need to so that you will have more luggage space for anything that you plan to bring back home afterwards.

Here are eight items that you should always bring for your short vacations.

Undergarments

Have at least a few sets of underwear and lingerie that you can change into to feel fresher after a shower. This is a given, really – more of a hygienic reminder rather than an optional item to bring along.

Bring at least one set for each day that you will be away. You will not need to be wearing three sets in a single day.

Extra Pair of Shoes

If you know that you will be heading to the beach, bring a pair of thongs with you. Alternatively, if you are planning doing some bush walking, take a comfortable pair of shoes to change into after being in your walking boots all day.

To avoid excess weight, if you are taking heavy or women’s western boots, wear them for the plane trip.

Tech Supplies

You cannot go anywhere without power banks, phone chargers and more these days. Be sure to charge your power banks before you bring leaving for your vacation.

Check if you need to bring plug adaptors along where you are headed too. Cheaper to buy adaptors before you go and ensure you hvae the right one. Different countries have different requirements.

If you are travelling as a family, having an extension cord will allow everyone to charge their devices at night.

Jackets or Cardigans

Be sure to have at least an outer garment with you. Aside from being fashionable, you will thank yourself for having jackets and cardigans around when it starts to get cold at night, even in the summer.

At the very least, you can cover yourself when your flight starts to get too cold.

Thermos Bottle

Do not forget your thermos. Whether you are looking to keep your water cold or hot, thermos bottles will get the job done. So, whatever your destination, you will have your water at just the right temperature.

Just be sure to empty the bottle before you check-in for your flight.

Medicine and Pills

It will not hurt to have a few extra aspirin tablets with you during your trip. If you are on any antibiotics or pills, you should also bring them along so that you can finish your prescription. The same case applies to asthma medications or other medicines that you take regularly.

A Flexible Outfit

If you tend to bring too many clothes, how about packing an everyday outfit or a flexible dress? Pick something that you can wear for most occasions or easily pair up with other clothes that you are wearing.

With any luck, you will only need two or three sets of clothes that you can mix around to create a new outfit.

Toiletry Kit

Skincare & hygiene care does not stop when your vacation starts. Bring any skincare goods in travel-sized bottles so that you can bring them into your flight. Feel free to bring your sunscreen, moisturizer & hair conditioner too. You can also bring a few extra tampons or menstrual pads in your toiletry bag so you are not caught short.

STUNNING PLACES IN ICELAND YOU MUST VISIT NOW

Iceland could be the most beautiful country I have seen so far and one of the couple that’s really amazed me from begin to finish.

Though the nation may be somewhat little, what it lacks in size it makes up with many different stunning sceneries which vary from crystal blue glacier lagoons to green moss volcanoes, reddish sand shores, along with black desert landscapes.

There are a lot of amazing destinations in this state a single list can’t do justice for this, but I’ll share with you 20+ magnificent sights I think everybody should see to find how Iceland has to offer you.

A number of these attractions in Iceland are easily available from the Ring Road — Iceland’s key street  — while others will take you away from the beaten path into distant regions far from any signs of civilization.

It’s advised you drive your car so that you can move all around the nation and appreciate these sights in your speed. I suggest staying at least fourteen days in Iceland to go to every one these places.

1.Kirkjufell and Kirkjufellsfoss Waterfall:

Located beside the little city of Grundarfjörður, it climbs 463 meters above sea level in an unusual, long, conical form.

Currently, this mountain has changed into a gorgeous landmark not only of the city but of Iceland too.

The term “foss” means waterfall and you will see a good deal of it via this article.

  1. Snæfellsjökull National Park:

You may drive round the playground and Kirkjufell a day.

  1. West fjords:

This is my favorite area in many Iceland because it is relatively remote and magnificent. Driving across the fjords offers majestic views at every corner, and some more.

Being among the very remote areas of Iceland, it is possible to push here for hours and not find any type of civilization — just nature at its very best.

On the other hand, the views are not the only noteworthy thing of the fjords; here you can camp publicly almost anywhere!

If you are driving the entire circuit at the Westfjords, make sure to not miss the Látrabjarg Cliffs — one of the most spectacular seabird cliffs on the planet.

STUNNING PLACES IN ICELAND

Furthermore, it is Iceland’s westernmost point (considered one of Europe’s westernmost points following the Azores islands) along with Europe’s biggest bird cliff — 14 km long and around 440 meters .

  1. Dynjandi Waterfall:

Dynjandi waterfall isn’t only the biggest waterfall in the Westfjords, but it’s also among the most beautiful in the country.

The term “Dynjandi” signifies”thunderous,” and you are able to truly feel the thunderous noise when you are standing directly in the bottom of these falls.

Different from most drops in Iceland, Dynjandi doesn’t fall in a free fall column, but gradually cascades through the stones, dispersing its liquid needle out of 30 meters in the very upper to 60 meters in the base.

Does the waterfall appears magnificent illuminated in orange colours, but in addition the sunset itself is magnificent.

  1. Rauðisandur Beach:

Rauðisandur (reddish shore) is a gorgeous, remote, red sand beach in the Westfjords. It stretches for approximately 10 km from Látrabjarg bird-life in the west Skorarhlíðar mountainside from the east.

How red the sand appears is based upon the light of this day. But if it seems red or not, it’s a gorgeous sight to not overlook.

What is much more curious are the sheep living in the shore!

The road resulting in the shore is a steep gravel road, hence fantastic care needs to be taken while driving since it moves through several dangerous curves and hills. Some say this is definitely the most dangerous street in Iceland; I discovered it just fine.

  1. Hornstrandir National Park:

It’s been uninhabited since the 1950s because of the rough weather, remoteness, and lack of capital.

No roads lead there, which means that you can either grow for a week at the finish of the road, near Krossnes, for there (per week to get back) or even demand a yearlong ship ride out of Ísafjörður to some points in Hornstrandir, from where you can open the increase.

Not, merely are the sceneries gorgeous but here is also where you may locate Iceland’s biggest arctic fox colony.

Even if it’s the middle of summer, you have to go with proper winter clothes and plan to get wet — you will be less than 10 kilometers from the Arctic Circle, so the end drafts are rather chilly!

Since there’s nothing in the region, you have to carry with you all of your food and camping gear.

  1. Vatnajökull:

This federal park covers approximately 14 percent of Iceland, making it Europe’s second largest national park.

However, the most fascinating thing about this glacier is that under itconceals some active volcanoes, of which Bárðarbunga is your biggest and Grímsvötn the very active — therefore why Iceland is called the land of ice and fire hockey.

Inside Vatnajökull there’s a place formerly called Skaftafell National Park.

You might even walk around Svinafellsjökull glacier, and in case you’re receptive to more intensive collapses, then it’s possible to stop by the Morsárdalur valley and Kristínartindar mountain peaks.

Last, Skaftafell is also the perfect base camp for those who attempt to scale Iceland’s greatest mountain peak, Hvannadalshnjúkur.

  1. Svartifoss Waterfall:

Svartifoss (Black Fall) is among the most well-known waterfalls in the country.

The water drops about 20 meters before a pure backdrop generated with black basalt columns. To achieve it, you need to increase about 45 minutes each way from Skaftafell’s entrance.

  1. Breiðamerkurjökull:

It is gradually formed during the years since the Breiðamerkurjökull glacier began receding from the edge of the Atlantic Ocean.

While today it’s deemed to be Iceland’s deepest lake, the excellent thing about the lake is not in its dimensions, shape, or thickness, however on the glacial background along with the icebergs floating inside.

Since the glacier melts and breaks into pieces, these icebergs float a slow procession through the lake till they get to the sea and then melt.

Just standing there, seeing the ice gradually float into its departure makes this a unique place worth seeing.

  1. Mount Mælifell:

Using its awe-inspiring green ribbon and its standalone pyramidal silhouette surrounded by a huge black desert scene, Mount Mælifell has come to be one of Iceland’s most iconic landmarks.

This makes you feel like you entered another world.

It is accessible only by a 4×4 automobile since the road leading to it isn’t paved, in dreadful shape, and spans a few rivers (some of them fairly deep).

While the drive is long, slow, and hard (roughly 10 to 12 hours from Reykjavik), it might be worth doing this.

Throughout the excursion, you’re likely to observe the apparently endless black desert wilderness of Mælifellssandur, the Mýrdalsjökull glacier, along with the hills of the Fjallabak region, amongst others.

  1. Landmannalaugar:

Landmannalaugar is a place filled with geothermal nature baths at the Highlands of Iceland. Additionally, it is famed because of its notable surroundings filled with stunning rock formations, lava fields, and multicolored rhyolite mountains.

As a consequence of the region’s renowned beauty, from here it is possible to begin the very popular hiking route in most Iceland — the Laugavegur trail.

It takes four times to increase and ends from the Thorsmork valley on the southwest. Obviously, it’s full of gorgeous wilderness only hikers can observe.

  1. Haifoss Waterfall:

Besides having an impressive elevation, the setting where it drops makes this a gorgeous sight to see.

Reaching Haifoss isn’t overly hard, although the street leading to it’s unpaved and in relatively poor form. But once you arrive in the end of the street and remain at the edge of this cliff, you are going to realize this panorama is totally worth the rocky ride.

  1. Glymur Waterfall:

Not too far from Reykjavik, you will find Glymur — Iceland’s second greatest waterfall position 198 meters tall. Glymur was considered the greatest waterfall in Iceland until Morsárfoss was quantified in 2011 — reaching 240 meters tall.

Surprisingly, not a fantastic deal of people see this fall. For this, you need to hike for two to three hours through green mossy cliffs, in addition to a gorgeous narrow canyon. The increase gets a bit tough at some things, but take it slowly and revel in the river and mountain views.

  1. Seljalandsfoss Waterfall:

Seljalandsfoss is among those most bizarre waterfalls in Iceland since it is readily visible from Route 1 (the famous Ring Road), and it sounds equally as magnificent from way because it does out of close.

Furthermore, this waterfall has a rather strange characteristic; a cave behind the fall which permits you to walk directly behind it. Don’t miss doing this walk.

The waterfall drops 60 meters and is a part of this Seljalands River that has its origin at the volcano glacier Eyjafjallajökull (the one that erupted in 2010).

  1. Skógafoss Waterfall:

Another popular waterfall not too much from Seljalandsfoss (just 30 km away).

You may stand at the bottom of the drops or climb in the surface by way of a staircase. Along the way up, you can stop to get a view of this troll (a stone formation( pictured above) to take some stunning shots of the drops.

There is a legend attached to this waterfall. It’s said that during the year 900, Þrasi Þórólfsson, the initial Viking Settler in Skógar (Eystriskógar), buried a treasure chest behind the drops; and that apparently, the very first guy to move behind it will find it.

The legend continues to state that sailors found that the torso years later but were only able to catch the ring on the face of the torso till it vanished. The ring was supposedly supplied to the church.
